Shane is the founder and Executive Director of Chesterfields Financial Services who has over 15 years in Portfolio Management.
10 years ago Shane identified a gap in the financial advisory market where by clients were looking for more transparency , a fee model they could understand; fee for service, direct ownership and liquidity in their investments and a company that actively manages portfolios. With these beliefs Chesterfields has developed its culture which has now helped it to grow to over 150 million in assets under management.
Shane has continued and is presently involved via a substantial shareholding in Equities and Freeholds (EQF); a diversified Financial Services Company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Shane has been instrumental in the planning and vision of EQF’s push into Asia via its 100% owned subsidiary EQF Asia. EQF Asia’s mandate is to make investments in financial advisory and funds management businesses in the Asian region. EQF Asia seeks to provide a means for disparate advisory and or manufacturing businesses to gain scale and share in these valuation improvements through a joint ownership structure.
As part of Shane’s broader role within EQF he also sits on the board of Armytage Asset Management an alternative product and portfolio management solution for international clients. AAM also manages a number of traditional investment funds which are available through various offshore regulated platforms.
